So I'm entering into NaNoWriMo. You may be thinking, "Ellistra, you insane jelly biscuit, what is this sillyness and why are you wasting my time with it?"
Well dear friends it stands for National Novel Writing Month and if you're a writer I encourage you to try it. The concept is to write a 50 000 word novel in a month from scratch. It takes place over November, so like I said I know I'm leaving it a little late, but to be honest it's taken me this long to get up off my ass and write the journal.
Anyway you win prizes and stuff for finishing it in time, you can register on this site: [link]
I hope a few of you will be joining me. It's an interesting test of stamina and will power and god damn it I plan on finishing my novel! Narglarglearg!
In other news Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the best cartoons I've ever seen in my life, I'm totally gay for it right now.
And Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is insane. I fucking adore that movie.
Oh and there was some scientist in England the other day that said that alcohol and nicotine are more harmful than certain illegal drugs such as cannabis and he was sacked for saying cannabis should therefore be put at a less harmful level of criminalization. I just watched these two douche bags on TV this morning saying how good it was the guy was fired due to the fact that if they say cannabis is less harmful, which it is, more kids will be using it and going on to try harder drugs.
I call bullshit. There is no evidence that cannabis is a gateway drug. At all. There never has been, it's an illusion made up so they can criminalize it beyond what it deserves and it has never been properly researched. On top of that kids never listen to what adults say, if they want to try drugs they're going to try drugs despite any adults saying it's good or bad or less bad than they thought etc.
If the drug was legal at least they could monitor it, make it more safe to use. Ugh. As you may have noticed I'm a total hippie.
DOWN WITH THE GOVERNMENT! UP WITH SELF AWARENESS! REVOLT PEOPLE, REVOLT!
Yeah, got a little carried away. Sorry about that.
Anyway, you should totally try NaNoWriMo.
Later.
